This is the most dramatic round of either Mafia game so far. Also it's entirely possible we're all wrong and are divided over which innocent person gets it.

With starch denying the contact that makes this very obvious, no? Unless I’m misunderstanding the roles.

I have received no communications from Jas, neither through DMs nor through the GM/Operator.

I fear I could get lynched and if I don't I will probably get murdered during the next night phase so I want all town players to remember this conversation.

I swear I am telling the truth. If the communication between two mafia players shows up under my ability as one visiting the other then know that Jassassino and starschwar are the mafia. Under my interpretation of the rules though Jassassino was town and was doing something else to or for starschwar.

If anyone who is really the Bug wants to call my bluff then go ahead.

That last vote was performed so fast it had to be filmed in Bullet Time!

Day 2 has ended.

The operator sighed. He knew that this was what the plan was-to dispatch of whoever the crew decided with as little resistance as possible. He knew that...but he wished it didn't have to be him doing it. He set his headset down on his keyboard as he stood up, walking over to the chair of the decided crew member. He firmly grasped the plug inserted into the back of his neck and pulled.

The body twitched slightly as the plug came out, while in the Matrix the lifeless body fell to the floor, knocking the desk phone off its cradle before thudding against the carpet tiles. The operator glanced over at his monitor and read the code pertaining to the "corpse." He paused before picking up his headset once more. The silent anticipation in the room meant that everybody heard the operator's tinny voice coming through the receiver of the dangling phone:
"It wasn't him."

"Oh...déjà vu."

You'll notice above that Null is now alive again and Departed is dead.
Since Departed hasn't posted or been online at all I'm swapping the two of them as inactivity only hurts the game.
Null should be treated as a new player-his old ability and role have no bearing on who he is now.

Night 2 has begun.

Damnation. This was what the Machines wanted all along. No. Worse. The Machines like control. This was panic, fear, chaos. It was human. The traitors had manipulated the loyalist crew. Panic had set in so bad that they had even gotten the names of the fallen wrong. Departed was departed, not Null. And now - the Sentinels will be coming yet again. The only hope for the Pequod's surviving crew was for real investigative work to be done. Real intel to be gathered. The greatest weapon that there always was against the Machines and their Cypherite turncoats: truth. But as always. Time is always against them.

Elsewhere. Perhaps in another time - years or centuries earlier or later, who could say? But somehow, in some way - similar circumstances motivated an opportunistic Exile program and his own followers to ruminate on their own plans.

Okay, that last part has nothing to do with our current game, but if I see MXO parallels, I'm calling 'em out. It's my job.

The Machine attack came and went. The Pequod sat still...was it truly over? The operator looked around. Everyone was accounted for. A Sentinel had definitely come...what happened? He wasn't about to question their good luck, whatever had caused it, but they weren't out of the woods yet. They were still two men down and none of the turncoats had been found. He jacked them in. The cold steel of the chair against their hands became the cold steel of fine cutlery as the crew found themselves in a grand restaurant. The atmosphere in the air was electric, much like every physical sensation in this world. Though none of them had been here before, it felt strangely familiar. The clientele and staff surrounding them paid them no mind except a waiter who walked up to their table "there is a call for you, monsieur." The Captain got up and walked over to the phone by the podium at the entrance, the maitre d handed it to him. The operator's voice came through:
"I don't know what happened last night, but at best we got lucky. At worst they're toying with us. It doesn't change the fact that sat at that table are people who need us dead. We've got to do something, but I realise there's a difference between knowing the path and walking the path. You've got until day's end. Good luck."
The Captain handed the phone back and the waiter led him back to the table. He sat down and looked around at his dining partners.
