The future of the series
#41
MG and MG2 seem like the most logical remakes. I supposed MGS could get a proper remake so long as they don't repeat the mistakes Silicon Knights made with adding new game mechanics thus making the game easier. lol Please don't have Snake do any weird spiderman stunts again.

I wouldn't mind a remake in the vein of what Capcom have been doing with the Resident Evil series. Something that keeps the spirit and all the important parts of the original, but that overhauls enough to allow for new gameplay mechanics or styles without completely trivializing things. Imagine a more fully-realised Shadow Moses facility. Nuclear disposal facilities, I would imagine, tend to be pretty big.

Do you not think Shadow Moses did feel pretty big? It's been a while since I've played MGS1 and MGS4 but I always got a sense of scale from it compared to something like Groznyj Grad in MGS3, which actually felt quite small when playing through Delta compared to my memory of it. Maybe I'd feel the same about Shadow Moses upon a revisit but where the entirety of MGS1 takes place there I do think it does a lot to make it feel big in my mind.

(Also are you from Sonic Blast? I think I recognise your avatar!)
