I'd happily take Archie Gray off you

You might, but you can't

I'm choosing to believe he's staying even if we're relegated

No Romero????

No, I like Romero. He's a quality player and he gives a shit. Yeah he's rash and makes silly mistakes but he's ref'd very poorly. Easily been our best player for a while now, not that its difficult.

Honestly I still don't get the "Romero is world class" opinion that I see the media espousing often (not saying you're necessarily going that far though). I think it's come from Argentina's success and no doubt he's had a part to play in that but people say the same of Lisandro Martinez and I think both are highly, highly overrated and go missing for their clubs far too often when they should be stepping up if they're that good. Don't feel like Romero has exactly done you any favours as captain either, doesn't strike me as a leader figure at all and he only seems to speak to the media after he's done something like scoring.

I definitely think he’s world class. He’s one of the best passing centre backs in the world and he has a rare quality that you can’t coach. Reminds me of Roy Keane in that regard. I’ve watched him grow for Spurs and he’s gotten better every year.

Obviously he has cost us with rash behaviour but he’s also bailed us out endlessly. Without him this year we’d have already been relegated without a doubt.

I haven’t watched Martinez play as much as Romero but for me they are at completely different levels. When he moves to La Liga which is inevitable he will cement his status as one of the best.

Take him honestly

He's not to blame for all of this but I'm not going shed a tear for him

The only guys I have an attachment to are Archie Gray, Djed, maybe Tel

Obviously I love Romero but he's long gone so

I'm genuinely intrigued to see how stays if you go down. Logistically, you can't sell an entire squad of 25 players, so some players are going to have to suck it up and stay whether they like it or not.

By the by, what's the deal with this Vuskovic? He's apparently wonderful and I've seen rumours that we're after him, so why I have never seen him an appearance for you guys?

I have some ideas about who will suck it up and stay. But I don’t want to jinx it. I think Romero and VDV will be two of the first out, but only one of them is worthwhile.

Vuskovic was sent out on loan by the club pre-season, and he’s ended up becoming one of the most coveted young defenders in the world after lighting up the Bundesliga. We will probably try and keep him but the hype for him is through the roof. I think he’ll end up going to Bayern.

He’s the real deal btw. Genuinely an amazing talent.
