Where's the dislike button?
Lol but yeah, probably not needed, although it does garner some questions about how we want the culture of MGF to evolve. In terms of establishment, MGF is basically where MGSF was around 2005/6 at the moment. If the current site stays the course, what will it look like when we reach our equivalent of like 2010-13?
We've already had a large political argument in the main politics thread and it didn't feel necessary even in that scenario; any disagreement with something said has so far always been responded to with words in return, rather than just a cryptic downvote. Whereas the like button is great because if you agree with something but don't really have anything to say in response, you can just drop that like to indicate you agree. In that sense, we've already established the like/dislike culture on MGF.
What sets old school forums apart from modern social media is that by just being what it is, you're not likely to get in long arguments with weird strangers, so there isn't an incentive to just dislike the comment and move on with your life.
Also, good chance that we'd use it ironically most of the time. Which is fun in its own way.
