Delta impressions thread

I think I'll find it hard to avoid using the legacy filter. I'm happy to try new options but from all the screens I've seen legacy just looks like it fits far better.

Gotta play it the way the devs intended so I can berate them for their choices!

I did that with SOTC, it isn't what it's cracked up to be!

Will add stuff as I go along.

More or less the same ideas as you. I'm playing on Extreme. I haven't yet managed to do proper CQC. I think the MGSV serial CQC mechanics (where you knock out several close-by enemies in a row) is not implemented, but I'm not sure. The Mk22 is a joke: the dart visibly drops down after just a few meters, and the enemies stay asleep for only one or two minutes. CQC'ed enemies stay asleep for even less, I think. Overall so far a great and difficult experience.

They definitely added sound effects to cutscenes, for more dramatic impact.

Anyone else get a physical copy or are you all digital? Deluxe edition is quite nice.

Kind of forgot there was a keyring in it at all, outer box is quite sturdy which is nice as these editions don't usually have them so the outer sleeve gets a bit wrecked just trying to open it. The FOX patch is actually really nice, impressed it. Steelbook is lovely and exactly what I hoped for.

Hoped to get on today but every time I make time and plan to give myself time to do something like this someone else decides against it it feels like. Maybe tomorrow.

I got the deluxe edition as well. I'm really glad it's a nice quality box and not a flimsy piece of shit.

The keyring is really neato but I'll probably leave it in the box. I'm still burnt from losing my Max Payne 3 keyring I had since 2012 earlier this year. I don't want a repeat of that

It brought you 13 years of joy and style. You have to count your blessings with these things and use them to their fullest!

I do get it tho, I was gutted when I lost my Ludens that hangs from my bag but thankfully Jass and his partner got me another one for my bday. Sure I could keep him in his box safe and sound in my room but he yearns for adventure.

The FOX patch is the main thing I’d want honestly and, much like most special editions, I’m maybe better off trying to find the individual thing I want on its own down the line lol

When they announced this I had no interest, but I love steelbooks and kind of collect them, and I do like specific keyrings. In the end I thought an extra €30 made it more than worthwhile.
