I like Metal Gear Solid!
Has anyone figured out how the permanent scar mechanics work?
Apparently, every bit of damage you take, be it a bruise or a wound, remains as a scar on BB's body. I have a burn on his shoulder from something. Is it really dynamic or pretty much the same for everyone?

I've seen posts of small scars under Snake's eye or near his nose too so it all seems to vary which is cool. Would love to see how bad it could get if you were a newbie that takes huge damage in every section.

What options did everyone pick for which “I Like MGS _” at the start? What happens if you pick the new options?

2, since it extends the opening just like the original. I don't know if there are any other changes to the game with others, however each option gives you a bonus starting camo or facepaint. It says clearing the game will unlock all of the other ones - I assume for NG+.
Departed- there is indeed a quick "save" radio in the menu, it's right at the 12 o'clock position.

Sure enough, my most used one, tiger stripe, had both. Uniform;s still burned and still has the cut. It's also all muddy because of all the crawling. Holy crap, that's a great detail. All games going forward, not just MG, need to have that.
So wait, the damage carries over? I noticed a few tears in my camo but not much. However, I play a zero alert playthrough now so I don't get into combat much. can't wait to try this out.

If you pick anything except MGSV, Konami remake that game. If you pick MGSV the Konami shareholders will invade your house within 20 seconds and destroy any references to Hideo Kojima.

Bit disappointing, was hoping they’d have something fun added for the games since MGS3 rather than “country face paints” for MGSV lol

I think it's a mix of content from the original game, stuff added in Subsistence, and those DLC-only camos from way back when. Hey, remember when there was downloadable content on the PS2, a system that did not come with a hard drive? That was wild.

I like Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater!
I'm up to the Ocelot boss fight. Playing the new style.
It's really jarring but I like it a lot. It's so weird hearing the same voice overs and music but with brand new visuals and gameplay. It gives you the option to play in the old style so I might try that in my next run
