Ladies and gentlemen, the fat PSP-1000 has arrived with MGS Acid. Function tested every button and everything works perfectly. Thinking of giving it a good clean up, its quite dirty. Belonged to a lady called Ninni, she was so kind as to even include some of her hair into the package.
Question: Did you ever replace some components for your PSP? Like did you replace the old battery pack with one of those Ostent 2200mAh batteries? Did you replace the old dim screen with any IPS screen replacements? I know I did with my old one before I gave it away as a birthday gift.

Very jealous of your Ghost Babel copy! I know it's coming in Vol. 2 but I want to play that game on a Game Boy very badly as I have always loved the system and it feels wrong to not experience a Metal Gear game released on it on the original hardware. I try and find listings of people who don't know what they have...but unfortunately only find the opposite-people who think they have a real Game Boy game when it's obviously fake:

I think this dude was straight up lying, hoping to scam some poor sucker. If someone where to tell me that this was genuine--when it's not--I would have just reported his ass for scamming. I was just lucky to come across Ghost Babel by chance; the flea market that I used to go to was selling it for $20 bucks, but since no one but me was buying it, the guy behind the booth decided to cut the price and half. He later gave me a Hori Fightstick 2 for the PS2 for free since, according to him, it wasn't working for some reason (though using 70% isopropyl alcohol on the contacts did get it to work). That was the last time I saw him, because ever since he left, there was a lot less interesting stuff there, I had less reason to be there. My last purchase from there was a Xbox HD Pack (this one to be exact) for like $10, and that was because the seller had no clue what is was for other than that it was for the original Xbox (or maybe it was Uniracers that was my last purchase). Mind you this was during Covid. The flea market shut down a while ago.

I remember the days when a genuine copy of Pokemon Yellow was less than $20-30 back in 2011. But I think since either 2012 or 2014 (at the earliest if Price Charting were to be believed) something had changed, yet nobody can pinpoint exactly when or where everything went wrong. Influential game collector, perhaps?

I started searching "Metal Gear gameboy" thinking people who type the console wrong would have less knowledge of the value the game is often sold for and I managed to find a copy of Ghost Babel (well, "Metal Gear Solid") for £20. Ordered a repro box and manual on etsy to have it on the shelf after I've played it. Pretty excited, honestly! Ive wanted to play this game on a Game Boy for nigh on a decade at this point, since I made the Ghost Babel theme for the site at the very least.
