Whoever was responsible for the Volgin boss battle?  A+ .  The CQC animations are varied, impactful, cinematic.  Feels a little bit like the context sensitive moves that were available against the SKULLS or maybe something out of Revengeance (but grounded).  I imagine if I used ranged weapons, the fight would have been too easy like most of the others.  But this feels so much more satisfying to do hand to hand now.  Great stuff.  Expecting even more of this against The Boss.

CQC in general is so good now. I love all the new animations, gives the technique some real weight. My only pet peeve is they should have added CQC from cover like MGS V - I understand why there is no chain CQC as that would be a bit too much in MGS3 imo.

The CQC against Volgin is so unbelievably satisfying.  His is the most genuinely improved of all the bosses, which I think are improved overall, since I was already so used to MGS3's gunplay anyway.  The CQC from cover or just grappling would've been great too.  I'd have also loved to have seen Phantom Pain's sweep kick added when you get knocked down as well, since that feels perfectly reasonable for Naked Snake to know at this part of his life and since it would work wonders for when you get knocked down.  But I get that also may not work against some bosses either.
