Silent Hill f new info

I am thinking to give a try to Silent Hill games. Do you think it would be a good idea to start with Silent Hill f as first game in series?

I'm wondering the same thing...by the looks of it it seems to be very divorced from the older games and something of a new start for the series. Very beginner friendly I'd wager.
