Is the game worth picking up? I've been debating on getting it these past few weeks. It's pretty pricey, but the trailers are quite interesting. Seemingly Kojima has borrowed quite a bit from Quentin Tarantino for ds2, based on what I've seen online .

It would depend on what you seek most from a video game honestly.  Personally, I would say it's absolutely worth it because it makes navigating terrain consistently interesting, even with vehicles present.  Charting and navigating longer paths feels rewarding to pull off.  There's actual incentive to keep seeing out lost cargo since each star you rank up with per client gives you really useful gear and weapons.  The combat is a lot of fun, even if it's still a little clunky.  Stealth has a much better feel to it now because there's a lot more toys you can play with to keep yourself hidden and neutralize bad guys without triggering alerts.  And I'd say that the boss fights, so far, have been a huge improvement from the first game with how much more aggressive they are, and how much more attack variety they've had.  There's a lot more meat to chew on immediately with this game and its story has a lot of intrigue going on.
