Swallowing/Regurgitating Cigarettes - Is This Possible?

The whole series has a lot of things that are quite a bit out there, which is why I don't get the hate for Twin Snakes' cutscenes. Predator stealth camo, a cyborg ninja, a guy with telekinesis so powerful that he can literally levitate, a Hind gunship shooting down F-16s, a witch who deflects bullets, a guy who can make Tommy guns out of bees, bipedal nuclear-armed tanks, and the above swallowing and regurgitation of a pack of cigarettes are all okay, but tossing a grenade through an Abrams' main gun, PSG-1 ballet, and using a Hellfire missile as a stepping stone isn't?
