Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake is an excellent game so I'd love to see a remake of it. I mean in effect MGS1 is a bit of a remake of it given how many similar paths it follows but there's still so many good sections and so much that happens in it that's worth retelling. Metal Gear is pretty rubbish and basically nothing happens in it until the very end, so that being the prologue would fit in almost perfectly.
I think at this stage if we're to see a remake, going all out on a full remake from the ground up makes the most sense. A big undertaking of course but nothing on the scale of FFVII for example, and it'd bring everything full circle regarding where things left off.
