Western animation does use a lot of high profile actors to do voices anyway. Funniest thing about Kung Fu Panda 4 was them writing out the Famous Five from the first 3 films because the actors would have cost far too much to get back. I could see Norman Reedus and Troy Baker being got relatively easily. People with more recently packed schedules like Lea Seydoux or Margaret Qualley maybe a bit harder.

That being said I’d actually like it if none of the main cast were present. Since the live action A24 film will likely be dealing with the events of DS1 it’d be nice to see this unique post-apocalyptic world from another perspective. Another porter or maybe something set in one of the settlers shelters. Middle Knot City would be a great setting to tell a tragic story given we already know the fate of everyone there. Would add to Fragile’s backstory too.

I would've loved if this film covered Sam's backstory and his relationship with his wife. He really didn't like interacting with other people before then too so I'd like see how these two ended up together in the first place.
