One of the best parts of working in a bank is people taking out large amounts of cash to pay builders being surprised when I tell them it’s to evade tax when they say “I don’t why but they said they want it in cash”

Only topped by the mad lads who directly ask me for tax evasion tips, which happens more frequently than I expected honestly

Always get roped into doing a certain family member's accounts expenditure and tax forms (boomer generation doesn't know how to type in numbers on excel) for them when it comes around, and man, for somebody who works a full 36 hour week at their own rates, they earn so little!

For me it’s when they want a credit card and tell me their monthly income is “About 4k, 5k on a good month” lmao
