A console with no disc drive or discs is pretty much a no-go for me, so if I am to continue gaming, it'll likely be through building a PC. I almost did it about 10 years ago, had most of the parts and was being guided by someone but felt it was getting too expensive towards the end so I backed out. How foolish I was looking at parts now. Still, I'll likely just keep an eye on prices and try jump on deals here and there over the course of a year or so and try to make it work that way.
I agree with you on the Sony bs wholeheartedly...but I do think that Physint would have been a must-play exclusive for me and I would have probably felt the need to figure out a way to play it, be that through buying a secondhand PS6 down the line or some other means.
Also, whether or not the cancellation itself was the final nail in the coffin of whether I buy a PlayStation, on the flip side it does potentially mean I may actually buy an Xbox-do their exclusives launch on Windows on the same day usually or no?
I just can't see myself going near Xbox again. They are trying to turn things around but it's all still far too messy for my liking, and they've had a lot of projects with a lot of potential in recent years and we've seen a lot of them falling into oblivion with teams and staff being gutted. I'm not that sure I fully believe just yet that this will definitely go where it looks like it is headed currently.
