Interesting considering how accessible Skyrim is honestly - and also surprising considering you at least have time to humour FF and KH games, which feel infinitely more massive to me.
I've been meaning to play through all the classic TES games for a while, but I've just not bothered. Too much on my plate I guess at any one time to think I'll just go boot up Arena for a couple of hours, and after BG3, I was happy to take a small break RPGs, but it honestly doesn't take much to convince me to replay Skyrim lmao. Glad Oblivion can finally replace it (at least once or twice when I get that itch in the coming weeks).
FF games aren't anywhere near as big, they're mostly very contained or can at least be played in a linear manner fairly easily, KH games are even more contained given you have actual levels rather than a world map. Bethesda maps are just so big and it's so easy to get lost or distracted doing other stuff or picking up new ones and getting sucked into them. I love doing it but a typical FF/KH game is normally something like 35-45hrs I'd say while I'd say you could easily spend 70-80 on something like Skyrim even if you ignore a lot of sidequests and only do a few through.
