It still confuses me how Blaustein went with a coma, even when he had a folder with the info from the MGS Handbook, which says Big Boss was sterile. It just goes to show no one ever read those "bibles", which is a good thing in the end, because much of the info in them is straight up nonsense written by 3d parties, or in the case of the Handbook by Konami America. These "bibles" were written primarily for these guides and seemingly get passed around to anyone...except the actual writers of the series. The Big Boss bio is one of the most tragically stupid things to come out of this series. Gray Fox being a teenage soldier in 1979 while also being born in the 70s is a classic.
