I go for long walks at the weekend, Greater Manchester has some surprisingly a lot of nice green spaces, and I saw this. Bro absolutely looks like he wants to throw hands/hooves.

Well done! Phenomenal photos. I'd love to hike if I had the time to properly acclimatise myself to it.

It started back when I was a little kid going on 'adventures' in the woods behind where I lived. The Marine Corps is what really got me into the long distance, heavyweight hiking. I loved every bit of it, and nowadays I try to do it often enough to keep myself sharp. I'm fortunate to live in an area now where I can freely roam with a rifle pretty much wherever I want. Back in January I went ice climbing up the tallest mountain in Wyoming. It was a 46 mile hike and took me about 6 days to get up the mountain and down again. The wind was absolutely ridiculous and the chill got down below -60 degrees. Every minute resting was spent in a tiny ice cave I'd dig on the side of the slope. Sounds shitty, but there's something about that kind of stress that makes you feel alive. [Image: Z-N-x7.gif]

It's funny that I can deal with pretty much everything the elements and nature throws at me, in all climbs and places, but the moment I get home I start freaking the fuck out over bills lol. The consequences of the Industrial Revolution and all that

Man I'm jealous. Haven't had a hike like that since I lived in Colorado. There's good hiking near me, but not good weeklong hikes. Everything you described sounds wonderful tbh.

Happy Friday everyone, any plans for the weekend?

Busy myself this weekend - partially for fun and partially just catching up. Heading to my friends tomorrow for the day/night, then got to do a big sort out of my house ready for appliances to come next week. Haven't had my own ILACKORIGINALITYASAHUMANBEING machine for a few weeks but managed to get that reinstalled yesterday so I've got about 100 loads of ILACKORIGINALITYASAHUMANBEING to get through. Nice not to have to bundle everything into a bag to take somewhere else to wash though.

Working tomorrow but at least still getting a weekend because of the bank holiday thankfully. Going down to London on the Monday to meet the gf's parents for the first time since they're over from Cali so Sunday will also be doing ILACKORIGINALITYASAHUMANBEING so I have the best drip available for that. It's a ILACKORIGINALITYASANAMERICAN kind of weekend clearly

ERR, we're talking about DOING ILACKORIGINALITYASAHUMANBEING in org chat. Bunch of old people.

...I'll also be doing the ILACKORIGINALITYASAHUMANBEING though because having a toddler basically means he gets through 500 outfits a day and then also wipes his chocolatey fucking face all over my favourite white t-shirt. I did choke slam the little shit onto the sofa as payback but he just enjoyed it.

Speaking of old people, we've got a National Trust membership (don't judge us) so will be visting a few sites with friends over the weekend. It's actually a bargain for proper cheap days out with kids.

FUCK I forgot to bring my work shirts home for ILACKORIGINALITYASAHUMANBEING. Having the extra day to get them dry is key. Another bank holiday weekend ruined.

Honestly, I'm surprised air fryers didn't come up first (absolutely love mine though)

No judgment from me for the national trust membership though, used to rob my dad's all the time they have some great stuff.

Blueblob Special occasions like that call for a little extra softener. Best of luck with the girlfriends parents, I'm sure they'll love you.
