We need to find a way to bring Dr. Strangelove back. We need our org chat recaps
avatar
god rogeg was such a fucking weirdo lmfao
avatar
I just realized I've been going through old posts for two hours now
avatar
Going through MGSF on the wayback machine can suck you in for hours. Got several org buttons and the banners that way. Saw myself logged in. Saw others that have since left like GJV, OS., and Skywalker. Saw other names I'd forgotten about.

I've had insanely formative moments here; music, films, games, perspectives. I owe a lot of who I am to MGSF, to you folks.
avatar
Not to continue being morbid but to echo what you said about how important MGSF was/is to me and all of us: I made sure my fiancee knows to inform you all just in case something happens in the future.
avatar
He gave me writing advice that I still think of to this day
avatar
he thought nothing of me except being a very annoying kid that he had to constantly reprimand, but it was tough nonetheless.
avatar
Yeah I found his health issues thread, was very hard to read
avatar
It's really tough to overstate just how important a lot of you were to me
avatar
seeing everyone's old signatures, avatars, posts. I see things and I think "hey, I remember this exact moment"

"Happy Birthday Gary"
avatar
I was just on the wayback machine looking through the old forums, almost cried

and definitely more accessible in the modern day than MG1; way tighter, less arcade-y
avatar
yeah it's crazy what a straight line can be drawn from MG2 to MGS1
avatar
that's a fun coincedence, I was pissed because PS2 Subsistence screwed my saves so I tried to find my phys copy of HD Collection, gave up, sourced it from Internet Archive, and have been messing around with MG1 and 2 a bit
avatar
The MGS3 included in the HD collection also has MG2 in it
avatar
tr0nic I'm playing MGS2 with RPCS3 on the HD Collection
avatar
MG1 is eh though
avatar
MG2 is actually amazing
