Dirty "likes to fight the same enemies the 40th time he has to re-enter a room" Duck
Bruh I can backtrack but telling me to do it about 5 times in a game including one where you have the most vague "clues" as to what you're looking for just isn't fun to me, if I'm not enjoying it then there's no point
Mfs will walk down the same road every day for years (with NO new powerups!) but can’t handle going back to a couple of locations in a game
I'm the same, tried to like Metroid Prime but just found the going back and forth tedious which was a shame given I loved that initial explorational feelinh
I played Super Metroid. Was kinda fun but i dont think the genre is for me. I tried Castlevania SOTN and couldn't get into it. Wanted to like it.
Metroidvanias are one of the genres I don't jive with, the Ori games are the exception to the rule
Yeah I am, one of the things I'm looking forward to this year, I thought the newest trailer was pretty cool
It bothers me it’s what the genre ended up called as the term was originally used to describe SOTN just because it was Castlevania doing a Metroid thing. Seems weird to then go on to use that to describe all future games that also did a Metroid thing
