It has arrived! Set up, docked and downloading (and charging). If anyone's for a Mario Kart sesh at some point my code is SW-2924-4958-5868

So it turns out I've been had and Raidou: Remastered releases the same day as other consoles...the misinfo came from the fact that it was written in Nintendo Directs in countries where the Switch 2 releases after the game is out so they wrote 'On Switch 2 releases on console launch.' Womp womp. No Shin Megami Tensei for me on the Switch launch day. I just bought Deltarune instead since it's such a small file size it downloads in seconds so I actually have something to play while Mario Kart downloads.

I got excited when there was music for the setup process but then it just sort of...stops...when you get to the home screen. Made it feel slightly sobering I'm not gonna lie. Just you and the squares. In better news the mouse controls seem cool!

Also on a more personal bummer my Switch 2 box arrived dented since it was packaged with out any bubblewrap or space or padding or anything. AND the screen protector I ordered hasn't arrived so I'm nervous to play it handheld in case disaster was to strike somehow!

I picked up mine earlier but had to head out and buy a new hoover as ours packed in yesterday so I have to get home and do all that too instead of getting it done yesterday like I planned. Hopefully I'll get on later on!

Will probably be a while before I get it, am I right in thinking there’s no stock right now unless you’ve pre ordered?

I think some places might have console only by the looks of things (the Mario Kart bundles are impossible to find via a quick google).

I think some places might have console only by the looks of things (the Mario Kart bundles are impossible to find via a quick google).

Am I right in thinking that shouldn’t be an issue as it’s digital anyway?

Yeah. You'd just be missing a code for MK. But you can always buy the cartidge (honestly wish I'd gotten console only and bought a physical edition of MK).

Yeah. You'd just be missing a code for MK. But you can always buy the cartidge (honestly wish I'd gotten console only and bought a physical edition of MK).

It would have worked out a lot more expensive I figured, which is why I didn't. Besides Mario Kart is the perfect game to switch to from pretty much anything so it'll save you a lot of time too. How much have you played? I did 2 grand prixs and 1 knockout tour which was pretty nuts. I'm a bit confused by the grand prixs though, is the start of the race always just us racing to the track first? Sometimes it feels like part of the track itself. And have you tried free roam? That's nuts and I can't believe they've not even given it its own thing on the menu, you just press +?!

Trying some Soul Calibur II right now. I'd love to be good at this game.

I've done one race thus far; trying to learn lines and at a rehearsal, so opportunities are limited next few days.

Holding off the GC stuff as I've got a GC controller en route. Also waiting on my Switch 2 installing 1000xResist, was quite sluggish on the original Switch.
