About to finally watch Andor. Heard nothing but good about it; I've just been massively burned out on all Star Wars for years (it is all JJ Abrams fault) so I figure if I want to return to the GFFA I may as well start with what a friend (who is even more obsessed with SW than I am) told me it is the best thing Disney have done with the property.

Looking forward to seeing Stellan Skarsgaard!
Been watching Slow Horses. Really decent show.
Andor is pretty dope so far, got up to episode 5! I can see why so many left-leaning friends of mine have recommended it to me over the years since the first season released. This is basically how I'd make a Star Wars TV show, lmao.

Stellan Skarsgaard is incredible.
Rewatched Terminator 2 last night. Audiences were in the dark about Arnie being a hero in this one, right? That was the time when a surprise in a film could be maintained. The moment he pulls the shotgun out of the flower box and is revealed to be protecting John Connor must have gone so hard in the cinema after expecting him to be the villain again.

I had completely forgotten the ending where they Jackass Old Person Sarah Connor, though.
I recently watched DIGGER starring Tom Cruise as DIGGER and I enjoyed it very much, even though it's kind of a failure I would recommend it, will appeal to MGS fans in particular.

Oh and I watched the latest Nolanslop where Matt Damon played Matt Damon and paying to see that in 70mm made me wonder if humans really have free will.
Seen lots of clips but sat down and watched the first episode of the show 'Ted' and really enjoyed it. Very MacFarlane dialogue which I'm happy with but others may not be. Definitely better than the Ted movie, the guy who plays young John is so much better than Wahlberg.
@Agent I watched Digger today too. I can't understand the hate for it at all. It wasn't ever boring and was very funny and looked great. I really think the pessimistic message captures the mood of the time. It's pessimistic even towards satire and art and the influence it can have.
Yeah I love it. The box office bomb is down to bad marketing, no one knows what it's about. Critically, I get that it's messy, it's trying to be Dr Strangelove without being as sharp, but people should be supporting interesting films like this regardless. Especially when capeshit man grossed a billion dollars this year.
A few recent movies I saw

Digger: took me a while to get around to it, I was always interested in seeing it. but all the buzz it was getting made me want to check it out even more. I really enjoyed it, don't quite get the number of negative reviews. Even if one didn't like it, it still looks great and has some excellent performances

Street Fighter: Girlfriend wanted to see this, I don't know much about the games but I found the movie to be dumb fun. I didn't realise until seeing it that it was filmed in my home city of Sydney. It was neato to see familiar locations throughout the movie

Clayface: Huge Batman fan, and liking the new DCU enough to keep checking out the new projects. It was just fine, I thought. I didn't find it to be great or compelling, and it didn't lean into body horror as much as I'd like. Still a decent watch, and was fun to see Gotham in the DCU

I want to see Digger at some point but I'm probably going to see Street Fighter today. Judging by this I'm to assume you've not seen the masterpiece that is Street Fighter from 1994? The Street Fighter movie from 1994 is a cult favourite and is consistently ranked as a lot of people's "so bad it's good" films but I think there's some brilliant intentional moments of well written comedy. But it's definitely bad. Raul Julia gives a fantastic scenery-chewing performance shortly before he passed away as Bison and is worth watching for that alone.
