Just remember that these decisions alongside shutting down a heap of studios and firing an enormous amount of people is part of a plan to result in them getting back to profitability in 12 month's time.

The mass firing of staff who have worked nearly their entire careers in creative roles is an absolute tragedy. The people who should have lost their jobs like inflated middle managers and administration managers have walked away with a chance of another bonus this year.

It's plain to see as well that BO6 and BO7 were proving grounds for how they'll cut these costs: by using Generative AI to the absolute maximum. Very little hope for TES6 after it all now tbh.

Once games got found out they could be used to make a lot of money, thats where majority of the money flow goes into now. Heavily emphasis on how to make more money, what microtransactions to grab your attention, and how often are you playing "our" game. Ain't no way we are going back to a time where games could just be games outside of indie games.
