Just remember that these decisions alongside shutting down a heap of studios and firing an enormous amount of people is part of a plan to result in them getting back to profitability in 12 month's time.
The mass firing of staff who have worked nearly their entire careers in creative roles is an absolute tragedy. The people who
should have lost their jobs like inflated middle managers and administration managers have walked away with a chance of another bonus this year.
It's plain to see as well that BO6 and BO7 were proving grounds for how they'll cut these costs: by using Generative AI to the absolute maximum. Very little hope for TES6 after it all now tbh.
Once games got found out they could be used to make a lot of money, thats where majority of the money flow goes into now. Heavily emphasis on how to make more money, what microtransactions to grab your attention, and how often are you playing "our" game. Ain't no way we are going back to a time where games could just be games outside of indie games.
LOTR: War In The North "Legacy Edition" was shadow-dropped with a slew of new features (basically finishing the game and reshipping it how it should have come out). Apparently it's a decent port, and Aspyr have said we can look forward to more classics soon.

Return of the King port when?
I rebought TTT and ROTK last year on PS2, was interested in this but saw a lot of negative opinions on Aspyr's work including around their use/dependency on AI so I'm not too hot on the idea right now.
I bought Return of the King as a birthday gift for a friend since my PS2 is at his house and we rewatched LOTR recently and he kept mentioning the game. I've never played it as I only watched the films in 2012 so totally missed the boat on most stuff that came out as they released so that should be fun, it's a big childhood game for a lot of people.

Enjoy it, I loved it and it having co-op made it even more fun. Leelee has been loving LOTR of late again so I'm going to get another controller soon so we can play through it like that (can't fully remember if it needs to be unlocked first or not though).
Any of you guys manage to play Big Walk? I'm looking at getting in the next few days.

I did but it was only with randoms for an hour or so. Really like the idea but can't do local co-op so Leelee and I can't play together (considered buying it on Switch as well but she's not a big fan of games in FPV) and the other person in our group preferred to spend €100+ on getting a player he already had but with new skills in eFootball than spend €9 on a month of PS+. If a few of us could manage to make a time work here and there I'd definitely be up for it, although I'll probably be the awkward person with the way my hours are.
Enormous GTAVI leaks happening right now. Been a bunch of clips released in the last day but suggestions now that the whole game has leaked and that the Xbox and PC builds could be released within the next few hours if true.
