Dunno about you guys, but I obsess over platinum trophies a little bit. My paltry collection of 43 plats (couple of games double popped on PS4 & PS5, plus I have Ghost of Tsushima on my GF's account) might not suggest that I'm a platinum collector, but I assure you, it's very much a skill/time issue.

- How many platinums do you have?
- How vigorously do you pursue platinum trophies?
- What's a common trophy trope that'll actively dissuade you from chasing the platinum?
- What's the hardest/proudest platinum in your collection?

My rarest is probably Arkham Origins, unobtainable now. I used to be far more aggressive about platinums but not as much time now! i'm angling for the V and Delta platinum now, and I might revisit Deus Ex Mankind Divided for it. I also have one trophy left from AC2 PS3.

Probably my biggest turn off is multiplayer trophies for games with shitty or tacked on MP modes - servers die very fast.

So weird you made this topic today. I was thinking last night about the thread about platinums on MGL and wondering if someone would make a new one.



I’ve never been that crazy about chasing platinums. I’ve gone through phases of doing it but a lot of the time I sort of catch myself pursuing trophies beyond the point of enjoying the chase and I’m like “time to stop.”

My rarest platinum is definitely MGSV. That one was the result of going back to that game to chip away at it over years iirc. The final trophy was for catching all animals and I was missing a fuckijg regular ass hamster.

I'm a completionist at heart but I don't care for trophy hunting normally. I'm quite surprised my completion percentage is that high as I have a fair few games I've started and stopped almost immediately or that I rented many years ago. I should be on 15 platinums but I have to grind like 5 levels in Clair Obscur. I am actually tempted to go for the MGS4 platinum at some point given how quick I can get through the game and I don't have too much to do for it.

I always go for Platinum's time permitting.

How many platinums do you have? 23.
How vigorously do you pursue platinum trophies? Always if it's a game I enjoy.
What's a common trophy trope that'll actively dissuade you from chasing the platinum? Depends, I don't mind an item grind but having to replay on certain difficulties turns me off.
What's the hardest/proudest platinum in your collection? Cheating a bit as it's technically a 1000g on my Xbox and not a Plat, but I'll go with Mass Effect 2.

Currently on 69.

Depends on the game and how likely it is for me to get it.

When I see things like finish game with permadeath setting or trophies I know I very likely not have the luck, patience or skill for it.
- What's the hardest/proudest platinum in your collection?
I'm proud of all, hard to say which was the hardest thou.

Well, shit. You got me. I have 2. And they're Jump and Jump 2. You know, those cheap games where you press a button 5 times and get the plat. Sorry, I just wanted to be cool!
