I like Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops!
That final joke is gold and the little girl setup is classic Police Squad. Also Seth MacFarlane's homage to to Star Trek in The Orville is better than any Star Trek this millennium so I think he can do something here.

Will keep an eye on it. Neeson is surprisingly funny and deadpan in the right zone (like with Conan) so he could suit this so we'll see.

I like Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater!
I've been on a film kick lately simply because I realized I don't watch movies and I'm missing out on some prime *kino*.
Last week I watched Ran and it was truly excellent. Yesterday I finally got around to watching Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind. I'm split between choosing Taxi Driver or Apocalypse Now over dinner tonight. Haven't seen either of them and I can't tell you how many times people have asked me before if I have. Also waiting in the movies folder is Stalker and Seven Samurai.

Seven Samurai is killer. I still need to see Ran. Kind of waiting to catch it in the cinema.

Just watched The Darjeeling Limited. Wanted to watch it for years but for some reason always held off. Strange movie, narrative progression feels quite jarring in places and feels like it doesn't know where to go a lot of the time, but I still liked it a lot, it's weirdly affecting. Feels a lot closer to some of the sensibilities of something like Royal Tenenbaums than his newer stuff. I'll have to give Asteroid City a go soon but I didn't like Isle Of Dogs or The French Dispatch, his meticulous style in recent years has begun to bore me a bit.

Darjeeling Limited is one by him that really stuck with me. I’ve also not liked anything since maybe? I didn’t really like Grand Budapest Hotel, Isle of Dogs, or Asteroid City (though a scene in it had me laughing well beyond what was appropriate in the cinema)
But I haven’t rewatched Darjeeling in a while. I need to tbh to see if I still rate it. Rushmore and Bottle Rocket are ones I like too.
