One time I was hanging out with a friend and watching Family Guy on DVD.  This was a while back during school so we used to just hang out a lot and watch stuff or like play gamecube.  Eventually one of us noticed a weird noise, kinda quiet so hardly distinguishable from the show, so we paused it and like got closer to what seemed to be the source of the noise somewhere below us.  Once we got down close to the floor vent though, we realized it sounded like a little girl crying underneath their house out in the country.  It was extremely spooky and still gives me chills honestly.

Actually have a continuation of this story that I didn't think about at the time I wrote the first post.  A few years after we heard that noise, they moved to another house on the same property, maybe 100 yards from the old house, but from the porch of the new place you could see the steps of that old house they used to live in.  Sometimes at night I'd go outside to smoke and get some fresh air, and after a while of them living there I started to notice something weird on the steps of that old place.  It was always between 23:00 and 01:00, and I'd sit there smoking and looking at this shape on the steps, in the shadows cast by a nearby light on a post shining through a tree, it looked like a little girl standing there in a white nightgown.  She never moved or anything else, but it was very unnerving to me, and I almost doubted my senses, but the weirdest thing is I could go back out there at like 03:00 and the shape would be gone, despite the exact same conditions of light and shadow being there on the steps.  I would look so hard but I wouldn't see it there in the shadows, it was only visible during certain times of night.  I couldn't take pictures of it even though I tried, and when I walked over to it, it faded away as I got closer.  By the time I got to the steps themselves there was nothing there but bare concrete.



Here is my other story I actually came here to type.

There was this weird room in a house I used to live in, and it always felt creepy in there to me.  During the day my mom would go in there sometimes to put a box in there or something, because that bedroom was just used for storage at this point, but sometimes at night I'd find myself needing to go in there for one reason or another.  Every time I'd go in there at night though, the light bulb would be unscrewed just enough that it was still hanging in the socket, but the connection was broken so the light wouldn't turn on.  I always had to go in there in the dark to screw the bulb back in and make the light turn on.  When I asked my mom about it, she never had any idea what was going on with it, and I'm not sure she even believed me at the time.

This kept happening and I almost got used to it, but one night I was sitting in a chair in the living room, and the door to that room was left open.  From where I was sitting, I could see into the darkness of the room through the hallway.  Every once in a while, someone would turn onto this gravel road, they were the only people that lived back there so there was barely ever any headlights shining through the windows into that room on the back of the house.  When they would turn down that road though, the headlights would always cast beams briefly that swung across the wall in the same spot every time before disappearing again once they started down the road.  This night though, I noticed three beams of light on the wall that swung across the wall toward the window facing the back yard, which I thought was weird and I never could figure out how anyone's headlights could shine into the room in that direction unless it was a spotlight someone was shining through a front window, which I was right next to and would have noticed.  It was just weird, it stuck out to me, but I mostly brushed it off.

A few nights later I was watching american idol auditions on dvr, and it was maybe like 22:00.  I started hearing a noise from the door and paused the show, it was a scratching noise coming inside that closed bedroom door.  I figured it was one of the cats who fell asleep in there and wanted out, so I got up to go open it, and as I walked over the noise continued.  I stopped outside the door and just the very moment before I touched the door knob, the noise fell silent.  And then I was creeped out honestly, but I had to make sure it wasn't one of the cats.  I opened the door, and there was not a cat or anything in there, just a dark and creepy bedroom.  I shut the door and tried distracting myself with my computer the rest of the night because I was so creeped out.
