I like Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty!
So, I bought a SteamDeck (512GB OLED) and I'm having a blast. Felt like a natural evolution since I well, became a gamer again thanks to Switch 2. Long story short? Depression, psychosis and undiagnosed ADHD meant I rarely actually played video games after a certain point, lasting from my early 20s until quite recently when my rampant and obvious attention deficit was picked up by my psychiatrist, and I was put on stimulants to address it.
Anyways, back to the point, SteamDeck. It rocks.
Can anyone suggest some Steam games that I've missed out on? Currently starting my like 10th play through of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, and I need something new to occupy my time!

I'm not certain how well it'd run on the steam deck, but I started playing the original Deus Ex a few weeks ago and i've really enjoyed it

Yeah looks like it requires mods to properly function. If you haven't played half life 2 it's a must-play, and if you have the entropy zero mods are very good

What? Why can't the Steam Deck run Deus Ex? It's on Steam, right?

I'm still yet to play HL2! Thanks for reminding me, I bought it about a year past when my little brother offered to build me a PC, haha. Always meant to check it out.

I like Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops!
I love my Deck. These aren't Deck specific games but ones I loved playing on Deck.
Civ 6 - it runs exceptionally well, it works well with controls instead of keys and obviously you have touchscreen. "Just one more turn" is even more true when you can just stick the Deck in suspend mode and pick up up later.
Vampire Survivors - just move the left stick and lose hours in a blink of an eye!
Dave the Diver- absolutely fun and wholesome game.
Cult of the Lamb - part dungeon crawler, mostly cult management / animal babysitting. Probably my favourite video game aesthetic ever (so much so I'm so tempted to get a tattoo or two) and the long awaited DLC drops in 2 days.
Balatro - video game crack.
Monster Hunter World - runs really well on Deck. Still lots of people playing. If someone has never ayed the series I recommend this one.
A Game About Digging a Hole - Cheap and a few hours of fun and weirdly satisfying.
Void Stranger - Puzzle Game. I can't elaborate on it anymore than that because it's something that has to he experienced. Not told.
Untitled Goose Game - I have this menace tattooed for a reason. Short but fun.
If I could only recommend 3 I'd go COTL, Balatro and Void Stranger.

My top played Steam Games are Fallout: New Vegas, Cities Skylines and Total War: Three Kingdoms. I reckon you've already played New Vegas, but if you wanna replay, I'd recommend getting the Josh Sawyer rebalance patch, cut content restoration mods and all the other PC essentials (4GB Ram Fix, stutter removal, etc.) and give it a replay because man it's just so sick init lol.
Otherwise, Total War Three Kingdoms and Cities Skylines are my top shouts without a doubt for you to play. Cities Skylines is phenomenal, and goes on sale regularly with a bunch of DLC (DLC for that game is usually stuff like new industry, transport, infrastructure options, etc.).

What? Why can't the Steam Deck run Deus Ex? It's on Steam, right? It's on steam, yeah, but it won't run on the steam decks native resolution without modding, and I think there are a few other issues with controls and the like that are solved by slight modding. Granted, I've tried to play deus ex on the steam deck (mainly because I don't have a steam deck in the first place) but all the guides I've seen online on getting deus ex working on the deck seem to involve some degree of modding
