Question: Which version of MGO was your favourite?
#2
I adored MGO1 when it first launched but back then, there was no way to really combat hackers. Once the hacks started, that game was just about dead because the hackers made it impossible to just have a regular match. It also had a lot of fun ideas no other MGO game utilized, like cameras that you could check at any point, or a flamethrower.

I'd say objectively, the best was probably MGO2 because with all the DLC's, it had the most meat on its bones, but in that games case, the players themselves ruined it for me. They were abusive, angry nerds who kicked you all the time, and rewards were way too stingy.

MGO3 was great but ruined by the fact that Konami gave it zero support and the dev team behind the game was really demoralized by all accounts once the game launched.

So I guess I'd vote for Fox Hunt.

To me, Fox Hunt is exactly the kind of multiplayer mode a Metal Gear game should have and was incredibly fun for what it was. Like MGO3, it was undone by Konami just giving it zero support after launch, which is absurd because more maps, more skins and more modes would've worked wonders for that kind of MGO. But despite that, it's probably the most raw fun I ever had playing an MGO game, and probably the only one I was genuinely good at because it emphasized stealth over combat or combat exploits like MGO2.
