I'm quite used to it as I often had systems my friends didn't but wouldn't really host that much as a teen (family lacked hospitality) so I'd often lug about my Wii U to a friend's house to play some couch co-op or versus. At uni it got to the point where I was playing Smash round my friends' house so much I just left the Wii U there lol. It's sort of carried on into adulthood as some of the friends of mine who lived in one house who'd want to play games together didn't have a PS5. My ex bought me a dedicated bag for hauling the PS5 around so that's pretty convenient but yeah it's definitely a lump.
I have my PS5, Switch 2 and PSP Go in North Wales with me. Maybe it's overkill but the handhelds are for the commutes whilst the PS5 is for wherever I'm staying (in theory-we'll see whether I get to play much of it)
Commute consoles are the GOAT. Playing Game Boy and PSP in the back of the car on a long night time drive home as a kid is a feeling I'll always be chasing. Losing against a gym leader on Pokémon and taking a moody break like
