The art still sticks in my head as very cool and rather unique, though AC!D 2's character designs go a little... far in places, I would say.
I wonder, is there any other game that plays even a bit like it?
Honestly so far, while I appreciate AC!D² for doubling down on having a unique style I do feel like I prefer the designs and character portraits of AC!D.

Have you guys seen the originally intended character portraits for the first game? They were way more anime, like the sequel's. I don't love them, personally.

I've just met Takiyama in MGA2 and I'm...surprised by the extent of the jiggle physics on display here. Clearly pushing the PSP to its limits.

I mean...

Gameplay has been great though. Finding even stuff that was in AC!D just works better here. Used hang to bypass a section with a guard and infrared sensors and then equipped a C. Box so that the machine sentries patrolling where I dropped wouldn't insta-spot me before my next turn. Once none of them were looking I threw a chaff grenade and shot it, but they were still blocking my path forward so I punched them out of my way and proceeded. Again, all doable in MGA but I never found a moment to use hang really and the cardboard box was mainly used just as a cheap card to exchange for movement.

Just did the train mission in MGA2. Really good section but I kept letting Venus get hit by the train by accident (it got a bit hilarious honestly) AND the game counted a guard that got run over by the train as MY kill! That's so unfair!

It's been a lot of fun so far though. It is awkward trying to play non-lethally though, you can think you're fine going ahead with your non-lethal deck so long as it's not a boss fight only for there to be a segment at the END of a level where you have to beat 10 robots. I managed to do it as I had a single stinger and a few M1911s in my decks, paired with chaff grenades and melee attacks I barely managed to do it without having to restart. This game would really benefit from being able to save a deck as a loadout, it's quite annoying having to change it to loads of damage dealing weapons whenever a boss appears.
