How much 'hobby stuff' have you held onto?

My first guitar in particular.

I feel like I maybe told this story on MGL but when I was evicted from my place in my hometown I had to shed loads of stuff and I took my first (and to date only) guitar to the dump and threw it into the trash compactor and watched it get crushed into a mess of wood and wires. My nan had bought it for me and it had sentimental value but I didn't have any space for it and it was worthless to literally anyone else-it was also a no brand POS with a fused string. I find myself constantly wrestling with my own sentimentality. I've kept so much stuff throughout all of my life and I can't just carry this shit forever but at the same time it's hard to shake off those feelings of attachment to things.

Currently debating how many of my books to keep. I have stuff like the original Hyrule Historia and the Collectors Smash Ultimate Game Guide, and a plethora of comics ranging from Adventure Time to The Dark Crystal. All cool stuff but can be pretty bulky and heavy things when it comes down to it.

Is there any possibility of you hiring out a storage unit for your stuff? I've always thought you can get fairly big ones for prices that look pretty fair here per month, and given you're only really using it for some boxes and "stuff" rather than heaps of furniture or cars or anything like that, you wouldn't need a massive space?
