Sitting at 78% on metacritic. Lots of mixed reviews, plenty of them annoyed with the controls. I still think I'll pick this up at some point.

Yeah I've seen some losing their minds over it and saying some ridiculous shit like "reviews with less than 100+ hour playcount should be discounted!". I hate the review game. But the one thing I do look out for is common complaints or concerns running throughout multiple reviews and those seem very fair and probably expected (story and characters, and some not liking the systems). Not one bit surprised by the controls complaints given the complexity, if anything I'm actually glad to see that particular "issue" as it was known to have some insane options and that was always going to put off people. Very curious to see user reviews on it after 2-3 months or so.

Has the critical reception of a cult classic going on. I think I’ll pick it up at some point.

I've bought it and hopefully I'll put more than the 1 hour I put in to ARC Raiders with it. The positives I've seen in the mixed reception are enough for me to think I'll enjoy it.

I planned to install it at least last night but ended up home late after the cinema before an early shift and taking an extra one on for the weekend so who knows when I'll actually get on but I hope I can match your 1+ hours.

Think this is one of those for me that I pick up when it inevitably becomes available as part of the PS+ extra catalogue in 2027.
