Anyone still play MGS on the old handhelds?
#11
Damn @Dirty Duck 5 years is a long time, I guess they do hold on for quite long, thats a relief.

@NateDog Im feeling its time to get a handheld since it seems easier to play mgs in between poop sessions instead of trying to play an hour or two at night after the wife and kids have gone to bed, but then ur just so drained that u fall asleep

Naturally being careful with it helps, a case is a must if you're gonna be putting it in your bag regularly. I've got one I really like for the Go, it's this but both the PSP and the case are black:

You either die a Snake or you live long enough to see yourself become Johnny.

How was the experience of playing a story related game like MGS:PO on the PSP? Can you get into an immersion and how are the controls, is it easy to play or does it take a while getting used to?

I think MPO is a bit finicky in some regards on the PSP, but people managed to play competitive online multiplayer so it's definitely playable. As for immersion I think the devs understood that they were designing for a handheld (something lost in this day and age with only hybrid consoles on the market), the cutscenes are all comic book style illustrated by Ashley Wood. It works great on the PSP's screen and you never feel like you're missing some minute detail on a model as they're not used for the important cutscenes.

Ah great! I just won 2 auctions, one for MGS:A2 and MGS:PO, they look like they are in really great shape aswell. I love that the MGS:A2 comes with 3D-googles that are still sealed lol.
