Organizations are groups that members may choose to join. <span style="font-weight: bold;" class="mycode_b">They function as forum "teams" that members can fly the colours of.</span> After joining an organization you will display their button in your post bit and will gain access to its <a href="https://metalgearforums.com/Forum-Mother-Base" target="_blank" rel="noopener" class="mycode_url">Mother Base topic</a> where you can chat with your fellow org members. Your activity around the forum will then contribute to your organization's <a href="https://metalgearforums.com/Thread-Organization-Power-Rankings" target="_blank" rel="noopener" class="mycode_url">Power Ranking</a> which is updated monthly. <br />

<span style="font-weight: bold;" class="mycode_b"><span style="font-family: Courier New;" class="mycode_font">||WHY TO JOIN AN ORGANIZATION||</span></span><br />
The organization scene encourages a feeling of camaraderie towards members in the same org as you as well as some friendly rivalry with members of other orgs. Members of organizations may like to collaborate and create custom graphics, events, or promotional material to show off around the forum and convince others to join, or they may keep an eye on new members in an attempt to invite promising newbies to join their org. Occasionally there will also be staff run competitions or events where the organizations will compete against one another to win glory. <span style="font-weight: bold;" class="mycode_b">How much you engage with your org is entirely up to you.</span> Joining an org does not make you obligated to take part in anything extra. <span style="font-weight: bold;" class="mycode_b">It's just a bit of fun, really.</span><br />

There are three forum organizations members can choose from.<br />

There are no entry requirements to join an organization, simply decide which you like best and join.<br />
To do this <span style="font-weight: bold;" class="mycode_b">go to <a href="https://metalgearforums.com/usercp.php?action=usergroups" target="_blank" rel="noopener" class="mycode_url">User CP&gt;Miscellaneous&gt;Group Membership</a>&gt;And then select "Join Group" on the org you wish to join.</span> <br />
Once you have put in your request to join it will be approved by an admin once they see it. <span style="font-weight: bold;" class="mycode_b">If it's taking a while and you think it's been missed, please PM an admin.</span><br />

As new updates are added new members are less likely to check the old updates so, just to future-proof, here is an explanation of what the premium membership entails. Feel free to use this thread to ask any questions or to make suggestions about the membership.<br />

To help with the cost of running the site and to fund competitions, giveaways, and improvements the site has a <a href="https://ko-fi.com/metalgearforums" target="_blank" rel="noopener" class="mycode_url">Ko-fi</a> setup for donations. <br />
