What are your dream Metal Gear franchise crossovers? - MGWSpike - 01-08-2026 Metal Gear characters were already featured in other video game franchises, for example Ape Escape, Super Smash Bros. and more recently Fortnite and Rainbow Six. Would you like to see additional crossovers between Metal Gear and other franchises (not necessarily video game franchises)? Or would you rather not? Here are my choices: - Resident Evil: both are Japanese video game IPs set in the Western world during the same timeframe, with lots of film references and a special care given to firearms. There were even two French parodies that already mixed both universes back in the day. I'd love to see a non canon additional mode where Solid Snake is sent to Raccoon City during the 1998 incident to retrieve the G virus (or something like that) and crosses the path of RE characters he might have history with (spy Ada Wong, former Delta Force member Jill Valentine, Umbrella operative HUNK, ...). Using stealth mechanics against zombies could be fun, too. - Tekken: I know Snake already guest starred in Super Smash Bros. Brawl and Ultimate, but Spawn managed to be in both SoulCalbur II and Mortal Kombat 11, so I don't see why Snake couldn't do the same. Tekken has (had?) a light cyberpunk feel to it, so Snake wouldn't be out of place in that universe. You could have Solid Snake and Naked Snake/Big Boss costumes. CQC could be let loose against the other martial artists. - Armored Core: the Metal Gear themselves could be piloted against other giant robots. RE: What are your dream Metal Gear franchise crossovers? - Tricerius - 01-08-2026 True to the dream aspect; Girls' Frontline. It's one of my favorite IP's and YZ (its creator) is all over MGS. Reverse Collapse has a whole map as a homage to it. But in terms of the setting itself, I can't really see it playing out simply because the events of the GFL games take place some 50 years+ after MGS4 (and on a timeline which diverges from ours by the end of the 19th century), so short of there being some sort of time travel (or that element being cast to the wind), it's not really workable unless if one were to take extreme liberties, or simply treated it as some sort of in-game thing. The Division, on the other hand, does seem like it could work quite well, especially given the dark zone. This is all assuming we'd be trying to make sense of it other than simply dropping the character/s in there and going like "have fun". RE: What are your dream Metal Gear franchise crossovers? - Roger - 01-08-2026 Well considering ff14 did a crossover with Monster Hunter Wilds. I feel like fighting a MG REX or Sahelanthropus in a Monster Hunter could work. Could even throw in Gray Fox as a hunter unit.
