Last read post mechanic - Null - 17-04-2026
Does anyone else have an issue where when there's new posts in a thread, clicking on it doesn't automatically take you to the last read post?
I feel like this happens intermittently, not always, but it's really annoying when it does.

Never saw this. You have to click the green arrow to go to the latest post if you're clicking from inside a sub forum or on the sidebar, but if you click from the main page of the site it will do it automatically if there's a new post you haven't seen.

When I click from the main page it takes me directly to the latest post and skips any I hadn't already seen, which is annoying.

Yes this is my experience too and pretty much always has been. So if I see there have been new posts in Org Chat, for example, I have to go into the subforum then click the green arrow to go to my latest unread post. Just clicking on any thread title with new posts always takes me to the very latest post.
For posterity's sake I just tried it again from the homepage with a thread I never even opened before and again it went straight to the last post.
