I started playing Expedition 33 a bit ago and I'm loving it tbh.I'm doing alright ta bk. how're you? How regularly are you away from home due to work? Seems like you're constantly being moved around. No idea how you manage to play anything or even have a life. RE: Organization Chat - Dirty Duck - 05-10-2025 (05-10-2025, 07:00 PM)NateDog Wrote: How regularly are you away from home due to work? I tend to work in and around London so just commute from home when I am, it's only if a job is happening too far outside of London that they put me up. I try to go home on weekends if possible when I'm away, even if the journey is something ridiculous like it is right now (5 1/2 hour journey from North Wales to London). It can feel a bit lonely otherwise. I have brought my PS5 with me but so far there's only been one TV in a shared room and I'm not about to start hogging said TV to play Death Stranding 2 in front of the people I work with RE: Organization Chat - NateDog - 05-10-2025 (05-10-2025, 09:20 PM)Dirty Duck Wrote:(05-10-2025, 07:00 PM)NateDog Wrote: How regularly are you away from home due to work? RE: Organization Chat - black king - 06-10-2025 I've never taken my console with me anywhere. Except for the Switch since it's designed for it. If I was ever going on a trip or anything it was GameBoy time and Pokemon is on the menu RE: Organization Chat - NateDog - 06-10-2025 (06-10-2025, 03:55 AM)black king Wrote: I've never taken my console with me anywhere. If I was ever going on a trip or anything it was GameBoy time and Pokemon is on the menu Think I've only taken my Switch around with me too or other portable systems like my PSP or Vita (or GB back in the day). Can't imagine the hassle of lugging around even something as compact as the slim PS3. RE: Organization Chat - Dirty Duck - 06-10-2025 I'm quite used to it as I often had systems my friends didn't but wouldn't really host that much as a teen (family lacked hospitality) so I'd often lug about my Wii U to a friend's house to play some couch co-op or versus. At uni it got to the point where I was playing Smash round my friends' house so much I just left the Wii U there lol. It's sort of carried on into adulthood as some of the friends of mine who lived in one house who'd want to play games together didn't have a PS5. My ex bought me a dedicated bag for hauling the PS5 around so that's pretty convenient but yeah it's definitely a lump. I have my PS5, Switch 2 and PSP Go in North Wales with me. Maybe it's overkill but the handhelds are for the commutes whilst the PS5 is for wherever I'm staying (in theory-we'll see whether I get to play much of it) Commute consoles are the GOAT. Playing Game Boy and PSP in the back of the car on a long night time drive home as a kid is a feeling I'll always be chasing. Losing against a gym leader on Pokémon and taking a moody break like
RE: Organization Chat - Blueblob - 06-10-2025 How long are you away for work for? Bringing along the PS5 is serious dedication RE: Organization Chat - Dirty Duck - 06-10-2025 Like 8 weeks lol RE: Organization Chat - TomRL101 - 06-10-2025 So many of you are back, it's crazy. I was here in Feb and it was dead. We're now ten years older than last I was on MGSF. I still carry Desperado Enforcement in my heart. |
