The bonus modes they added give the game so much more replay value, but infinite combat is a legit workout.  It's incredibly fun but you're gonna be exhausted after a while.

RE4 VR is still the best VR game I've ever played and might be one of my favorite games period.  Wild West is the single most addictive bonus mode I've ever played and no matter how many times I replay it, going full Revolver Ocelot on the villagers never gets old.

Have you played ALYX?

Not yet.  I plan to at some point but I'm getting through a backlog of other games I wanna play first.  Right now, it's AC Shadow.  Then I'll eventually finish Mirage.  From there, I still gotta finish a few other games for footage that I plan to use for reviews.  I'm eager though since I hear ALYX actually impacts the mainline story.

Played up to chapter 3 of South of Midnight last night. It's really solid so far, the art style is really nice, the cutscenes are pretty immaculate with the stop motion animation. Really worth checking out.

About 3/4 of the way through the game now, and I find myself enjoying the game more and more I play of it. The combat is serviceable and clearly the games biggest weakness, but it's killer soundtrack, visuals and story has captivated me in a way that a game hasn't managed in a long time.

Grand Theft Auto VI has officially been delayed until 2026. It'll be at least another year until it releases with a date of May 28th given (and probably going to end up being missed knowing R*).

Honestly would have been more surprised if it didn't get delayed. To get through nearly half the year with radio silence didn't exactly scream Q3/Q4 2025.

All the reports from Jason Schreier have suggested that it's been quite messy over there and that nobody expected that this year was realistic in any way.

There's a very niche subcategory of games in my head that I call "franchises that I really want to get into, but struggle every time I try to play them" and Mafia is potentially #1 on the list. Can't say I have any great love for the previous 3 games, but I'll keep fucking trying, and I'm really liking the look of this one.

They've said that this will not be "open-world" and that it will be a "linear, narrative driven-story" and I'm quite surprised since the third was open-world. I don't know if this means it will be more like the original where you could drive around the city, but there wasn't really anything to do, it was mostly just for immersion. But if not and it's just a straight up cover shooter now I'm not sure how to feel, I feel I'm kinda over those these days. At least the price will be lower than normal, I see it's £39.95 on TGC.
