RE: Physint - bigboss88 - 11-09-2026 If MS play their cards right, they really could finally turn the table on Sony. All the factors to do that are just there. They were even there before Physint nearly getting axed by Sony. These 2 upcoming years are really crucial for the shape of the gaming industry for 10 years to come. Or they'll just keep trying to break the GAAS market for some reason even though something as monstrously successful as Fortnite has been somehow losing Epic money. RE: Physint - Roger - 12-09-2026 What Sony wants is to make the same amount of profit during COVID. They reached a high they can never attain again and are cutting whatever "fat" to get as much profit they can get. Single player games are still predominantly played by a lot of gamers. As for games being more expensive to be made. Blame the amount of realism embedded in games. Sony is no longer trying to make a stylized "game" anymore. Death Stranding and Death Stranding 2 were realistic styled game but had enough of silly hijinks and gags that I did feel like I was playing a game. Ghost of Yotei made me feel like I was playing a movie rather than a game at times. Who knows, maybe physint would've been Kojima's perfect blend of gaming and movie. |
