RE: Gigs, Concerts, Festivals etc. - NateDog - 03-08-2025 So torn on my Oasis tickets. They're here in 2 weeks, and the cheapest standing ticket I can see on resale sites is nearly €1K. I'd never ever sell tickets over face value, we have a site here that I've been on for years where everyone sells at face value which is great. But I feel like I'd be an idiot to not sell to someone that's willing to spend that much if I can. I want to go but I've had back issues for an age and I'm not sure how I'll cope. But it'll be a unique gig and I'll probably not get the chance to see them again, I listened to them when pretty young as a kid thanks to my cousin. Then again, I'm not feeling like I'll forever regret if I don't go. I like Oasis but I'd feel worse about missing Hans Zimmer in November even though I've seen him twice before. RE: Gigs, Concerts, Festivals etc. - BigBrother - 04-08-2025 I'm still keeping an eye out for tickets for Edinburgh. I've registered for production holds, but the prices people are willing to pay are ridiculous. I mean I saw Oasis on their last tour (Usher Hall ran out of beer, and the review in the local paper started with the phrase 'In front of a crowd who were somewhere north of up for it')... It's obscene. Take the cash! RE: Gigs, Concerts, Festivals etc. - BigBrother - 09-08-2025 Welp, follow up I guess. Made the plunge and got a standing ticket for Oasis last night for a mere £575 (face value £161). The two people who I was talking to in the crowd had also bought tickets to sell - a guy with a mullet made 10k selling them. The woman sold a few tickets which basically meant she and her husband's tickets were paid for. Great gig though. I was probably too close - it was either look at the people on the stage who were tiny or look away from the stage to look at the screen (which would be strange). RE: Gigs, Concerts, Festivals etc. - Dirty Duck - 11-08-2025 The tickets definitely could have been better handled but awesome that you went! Mullet guy lowkey sucks RE: Gigs, Concerts, Festivals etc. - BigBrother - 27-08-2025 Booked tickets for Suede this morning in February. Pulp, Oasis and Suede in a calendar year. We're so back. NateDog: Did you end up going to Oasis or did you sell? We're so back. I sold them, I just wasn't able for it. I was at a match a week before it and only had to deal with 15 mins on a train and a short walk there and back but I was in bits for days so the thoughts of a long walk to Croke Park and standing was horrid. At the end of the day I'm hopefully able to bring my family away for a few days on a holiday with the money which feels a far better usage of it. RE: Gigs, Concerts, Festivals etc. - Wayno - 11-09-2025 Bob Vylan tickets go on sale tomorrow. You going Bread RE: Gigs, Concerts, Festivals etc. - Dirty Duck - 11-09-2025 Saw Basement Jaxx a few weeks ago. Wanted to see them for about a decade and this was their first live show in just as much time. Had a great time. Realised I've not really been to any gigs this year, just day festivals, so it was nice to go for one act I really like again. Seeing PinkPantheress next week too. Nearly saw her at Reading in 2022 when my ex bought me a Reading ticket (that I had to pay her back for) without me ever saying I wanted to but then I broke up with her and decided I'm not going to Reading when the only act I cared about had <10 minutes worth of music at that point lmao RE: Gigs, Concerts, Festivals etc. - Bread - 11-09-2025 (11-09-2025, 01:51 PM)Wayno Wrote: Bob Vylan tickets go on sale tomorrow. You going Bread Nah. Not because I wouldn't go see them again (which I would because they were class when they opened for Biffy and I expect they'll tear the house down ) but I'm just a bit over gigs at this stage in my life. I don't really enjoy them anymore. I passed up the opportunity to see my actual favourite band in Deaf Havana in October, as well as my actual 2nd favourite band in CHVRCHES about 2 years ago. Besides, I'm not the most confident driver in big cities, and Manchester Academy is a bit out of the way in terms of public transport, especially coming from Chester which often requires a stop at Warrington. Just a ballache to get to tbh. RE: Gigs, Concerts, Festivals etc. - Jassassino - 13-09-2025 System of a Down presale on Tuesday. Fucking better get me a ticket for this, feel like I've been waiting 20+ years to see them. |
