Let's hear from the dead and then wrap this up. To be honest I solved this game on early day 2 and presented my findings clearly so as far as i'm concerned I won.

I'll counter-nominate Dirty Duck, or whatever the official court proceedings are in this Kafka novel.

Honestly, as my first time storytelling, this was beautiful to behold.

I have minor ways I can influence the game before it starts. I.e. I choose the roles available (randomly assigned, I don't pick). I chose to tell starschwar who the Empath was (Empath is a goat role when people actually die in their vicinity) and chose the second player to be Aragorn so he would potentially have an early interaction with Team evil so there could have been a potential slip up / suspicion early. After that, it's all you guys.

There were so many role reveals and allusions on day 1 that killing Prick and blocking you ensured I had no risk of dying by the Slayer.

Thanks Wayno for running this! A really fun setup with lots of mechanical variety, and it was nice to not have any poor sod who was excited to play out of the game for good on day 1.

RE: Blood on the Clocktower - Wayno - 02-05-2026

My pleasure! It was fun run and I'm happy to run it again if / when others are up for it. I think collectively you understood it straightforwardly with your Mafia experience and we managed the logistics of it being forum based pretty well.

RE: Blood on the Clocktower - Aragorn - 02-05-2026

run it again with the exact same roles just so we can hoodwink these town peasants again.

RE: Blood on the Clocktower - Annoying Prick - 02-05-2026

Absolutely insane. I was pretty lost for a lot of it anyway and didn't even work out people's role claima but I never would have worked that out. Well done. I think as soon as Jass missed that shot at Duck it was over.

RE: Blood on the Clocktower - starschwar - 02-05-2026

Thanks again. I enjoyed it. Based on our small sample size, I only seem to thrive when I'm well versed in the source material for some reason? looking forward to the next Mafia session for sure.

Thanks for the game Wayno, hadn't played this variant before.

Prick and Star, i'd urge you to flick through the thread again when you get the chance, there were some mistakes and misunderstandings of the game to reflect on for next time.

GGs Duck and Aragorn for keeping it together Smile
