RE: MGF Mafia 2.0: The Matrix - Jassassino - 12-02-2026 Shoddy organisation. Let's correct his mistake by claiming our sides: I'm town. RE: MGF Mafia 2.0: The Matrix - Null - 12-02-2026 I’m mafia RE: MGF Mafia 2.0: The Matrix - Aragorn - 13-02-2026 (11-02-2026, 06:41 AM)starschwar Wrote: I'm going to warn you all right now. I am a Matrix superfan. I am a Matrix ONLINE superfan, keeper of the lore of the ultra-obscure MMO. I, and by extension, my character, will be insufferable about the most unknowable aspects of canon. People actually played that game? RE: MGF Mafia 2.0: The Matrix - starschwar - 13-02-2026 Yes. Fewer than 300 by the end. But for those of us that were there in those short years, it was no mere game. It was a way of life. The most ambitious piece of interactive storytelling ever attempted. And I miss it every day. It got a little awkward on night one with four men in there all trailing you. RE: MGF Mafia 2.0: The Matrix - Annoying Prick - 13-02-2026 I was also led to believe we would start soon. RE: MGF Mafia 2.0: The Matrix - Dirty Duck - 13-02-2026 As consciousness of the room on board the Pequod drifted away from the crew, something else flooded in to take its place: instead of a metallic control room filled with wires and machinery they were now stood inside a disused warehouse, surrounded by empty crates and paperwork strewn around as if it had been abandoned in a hurry a long time ago. It felt real, despite the impossibility of ending up somewhere like this when they had only been on the ship a mere second ago. In place of their tattered clothing from the real world each crew member was now clad head to toe in bespoke clothing of their mind's own creation. They hadn't had to suit up but regardless, they were ready to do what they came here to do. In the middle of the room a phone rang-The Captain of the Pequod picked it up and heard the voice of the ship's operator: "You all seem to have made it in fine. That's good! But that was the easy part, and now comes the hard part. You have to decide who you think is working for the Machines. It might feel like you don't know anything about the traitor yet, but you know something. What you know you can't explain, but you feel it. You're not sure what exactly your suspicion is but it's there, like a splinter in your mind, driving you mad. I know you don't want to make the wrong move, none of us do, but from this moment on you have to let it all go. Fear, doubt, and disbelief. Free your mind. Trust your instincts...I'm gonna have to pull you all out at day's end to prepare for the Machine attack. You have until then to make a choice." The sound of his voice drifted away and the dial tone flooded in to take its place. ![]() ALIVE: @Agent @Annoying Prick @Aragorn @Departed @Jassassino @Null @black king @st3ve @starschwar Day 1 has begun.
