RE: 「Japanese Animes」 - Dirty Duck - 30-12-2025

Rewatched half of Kaiba (2008) this evening. It's my fourth time watching the episodes I watched tonight and I still think they're bangers-such a good show with such a unique style by the GOAT anime director Masaaki Yuasa (he did Devilman Crybaby (though I'm not very fond of that personally (but I really like everything else he's done that I've seen))).

I wake up everyday knowing it exists and have no interest in getting in to it. Like baking banana bread or self-worth.

So I've finished(?) Chainsaw Man after it rather unexpectedly ended a few weeks ago.

I gotta say, as someone who was a big defender of Part 2 for a lot of its run...the ending was very very bad. It seems against everything CSM was about, and invalidates a lot of the storytelling that has gone on throughout the manga's run. Super unsatisfying ending for the new characters introduced in part 2 as well. It feels like Fujimoto just couldn't be bothered anymore...which is very disappointing for a series that has brought me a lot of joy. I suppose there's a chance it gets continued one day but for now it's over and for a part I've been reading since 2022 I don't feel very fulfilled by it concluding unfortunately.

Being someone who once said watch none of it and now having three you suggest means, feasibly, more of it is good and at some point in the future you could suggest more than three. Checkmate atheists.
