Assassin's Creed - Jassassino - 21-03-2025
Been really feeling nostalgic for AC just lately, and keen to play Shadows eventually (probably one or two price drops in though tbh), but particularly I've actually wanted to replay Revelations recently. Looking back, Constantinople was quite a bold and interesting location for an Assassin's Creed game, and not one I think many expected prior to it's announcement.
Part of me respects Ubisoft a lot more in that era for going with something a little more unexpected too, rather than just kind of giving in to mass demand on locations and themes, I think it made for more original and surprising games and settings.
Enough rambling anyway, what's everybody else's thoughts on the franchise? Any particular favourites?

My first Platinum ever was AC2, it's lost to an old account. I was never a trophy hunter but AC2 was so compelling I had to get it and it bugs me I no longer have the trophy. I've been giving serious consideration to picking up the Ezio Collection just to get that trophy and the Brotherhood Plat I missed out on by 1 online trophy.

I've 'platinumed' AC2 three times across three different platforms.
It's what happens when a game just absolutely nails a formula with an S-tier soundtrack, atmosphere, compelling backstory, and lore.

I enjoyed the feather hunt. Honestly I sank hours into AC2 and BH, so platinum felt mandatory.
Assume I was the same Multiplayer trophy away as you Wayno with the "get every multiplier/bonus in a single match" or something.

I got it in one of my first multiplayer rounds in Revelations. If I didn't find it funny at the time I'd have potentially broke a controller.

All my homies hate Extreme Variety. We should all hop on PS3 online one day and farm it. We deserve that platinum.
I've been feeling nostalgic for AC as well. I had a mini catch-up in university where I played Liberation, Black Flag, and Unity. I stopped at Syndicate as Jason put me off it and honestly the RPG style of the newer ones just doesn't tempt me that much. I'm quite glad that Mirage and Shadows are back to the 7th gen gameplay style, though I have other gaming priorities that mean I haven't done Mirage yet.

Honestly, I tried to revisit it back in November or so and the glitches were the least of my problems with that game. Extremely tedious.
