Ridiculous to announce it minimum 6 years (likely closer to 8) before it'll likely be out though, what's the point?

Probably just politics amongst console companies. Kojima’s hot shit right now and OD put some hype Microsoft’s way. Death Stranding belongs to Kojima Productions now and I’m sure that’s a process that took a while meaning Sony may have wanted to reveal Physint as soon as possible to make it clear to consumers and shareholders that PlayStation’s not losing KojiPro.

Pretty sure it was Sony´s move.

Kojima said he's only making Physint because people keep asking him to make more Metal Gear games.

I would not be surprised if this is a VR/AR game, now that I think about it.
