Hello! Here's another of our "Cardboard Box Vox Pops", where we get the general consensus of the forum on some simple questions.

This time our question is about which game you will play first in Master Collection Vol. 2: MGS4 or Peace Walker?
Probably Ghost Babel for me since I never played it. And probably MGS4 after that, even though I still have my PS3, I’d like to see how it runs on PS5.
I'm going to wait for initial reports on whether these ports arrive in a better state than Volume 1 before diving in. But if everything is good out the gate, MGS4 for sure. Peace Walker? It's fine game, but no amount of increased resolution will hide its PSP origins. Diminishing returns. Ghost Babel is my favorite of the 8-bit Metal Gears, but it won't have changed one bit since my days of playing it on the Gamecube adapter.
MGS4 was never really able to be its full self. Rendered at a weird 4:3 768p ratio and stretched/upscaled to widescreen, with a fluctuating and never terribly high frame rate - it deserved to have been cast free of the Cell Processor's grasp for a very, very long time. It's long overdue to see what it "really" looks like at full resolution and a stable 60 fps.
MGS4, after seeing some various comments online about how MGSV is the "perfected" soldier collecting mechanic. And it's also a PSP game. So I'm not expecting much tbh. Though I wonder how co op will function, if it works. I'm don't really look too much into the details of a game untill it's fully released and people who aren't paid off give their honest feedback.
MGS4! It was my introduction to the series and my friend and I spent so many hours passing a controller back and forth in endless replays. I’m excited to play it without the frame rate crashing out on me.
