On a personal level: the chance to experience MGS4 at 1080p/60, freed from its PS3 prison at long last.


On a more altruistic level: From here on out, entire generations of new fans can easily access and experience the entire run of the Hideo Kojima directed Metal Gear games on PC and other modern platforms, plus most of the semi or non-canonical material.  The core Metal Gear saga is now free from platform exclusivity and out-of-production hardware.

Honestly, I'm just excited to play mgs4 again. My ps3 crapping out on me, and having no intentions in getting a used one, yeah I'm bougie so what. It has been a long time since I've played it. I don't care what anyone says, its one of my top favorite ps3 games.

I’m excited to play Ghost Babel since I’ve never played it before. And definitely excited for more people to experience MGS4 since it’s been locked away for so long on the PS3. I only wish MGO was included and revived with this update but hey, beggars can’t be choosers. That’s why we have SaveMGO so we can still mess around on MGO2. It’s going to be another great collection. Hope there’s less bugs and glitches with this release, though.

Being able to play MGS4 once more. It's been a long time since I last played it and winning would absolutely be the best birthday gift I could get. (Which is exactly 13 days after release. So, lucky 13 I guess. ^^)

I'm most excited for 60fps, PS3 free, back aching Solid Snake in Guns of the Patriots.

I vowed not to play this game until I owned my own PS3 and that took me about 8 years from release. I finally played it on a PS3 and have always made sure to keep the console around for it. I am SO excited to have it on PC or anything else (including my PS5, possibly my last disk purchase). Thanks for doing this, y'all!

MGS4 and Peace Walker are both GOATed, and I've never had the opportunity to play Ghost Babel, so I'm keen!
