I've been heating up the screen a lot and so far no luck getting it to move.  might eventually get this mod done but the screen is seriously seriously glued in.


mission accomplished.  .  it was pretty tough.  took about 6 hours and i wore out a t6 bit, nearly did so with my t6 screwdriver as well. i decided to keep original touchpad covers and L/R buttons for convenience because i really didn't want to do any more extra, because in a way this whole project felt extra lol.  but it was fun and i realy like how my steam deck looks now.

It does look really nice. I'd have been far too nervous to do that to something like the Steam Deck personally, so well done! I am considering getting a new shell for my Game Boy Micro as that got pretty beat up when I was a kid.
honestly it took me a few months to build up the courage and determination to not only try it but to go all the way through with it, so I really can understand. you should post before and after pics of your gameboy :3
