Full Version: Metal Gear Rising's camera gave me AIDS

I've never played a character action game with a worse camera than this game. It feels like I'm fighting it AND the UG's at points. Nowhere is that more evident than in the Mexican sewers, which I'm currently suffering through. In the last fifteen minutes against the four legged UGs I've been bombarded with atttacks (including a damn flamethrower!) from off-screen because the camera had a fit and switched position.

It's really getting to me, it's affecting my enjoyment of the game so much I'm considering quitting. If this game is included in a Master Collection in the future, I pray to God that they patch it to include a simple lock on feature.
It’s weird because I played and completed Rising once and then never again, and I can really remember the camera being irritating as fuck as well.
The only part I remember the camera being a problem was when you had to run away from danger, with the angle focused on Raiden running towards the viewer. It looked cool but was far from intuitive.

I played it through multiple times and don't really remember the camera much at all? Maybe I got used to it and that ended up being the prevalent memory. Don't give up though Heli, the game's still got a lot to give!

Also this topic title's use of 'AIDS' is very archaic. Feel like the online vernacular has moved past using it like this for good reason.
