Resident Evil Requiem (aka RE9) comes out in February, and it's time for a Resident Evil thread, because Resident Evil is cool and fun

Effectively I just wanted to praise Capcom for their monster design for the new stalker enemy in the new game, because it is proper nightmare fuel. Grace also seems like a nice new protagonist.

I'm looking forward to Requiem.

Not sure how I feel about this 1st person stuff. Sure, they say it's optional but it looks like 1st person is what the game is built around. Whenever they include these dual perspective, one suffers.

But going back to RC? Hell yeah!

I also hope the rumors of RE 0 and Code Veronica remakes are true. Would love to play an updated version of Veronica, as long as they put as much effort into it as they did in RE4 remake.

I'm quite easygoing with the perspective shift in Requiem. I prefer 3rd person generally, but I loved both RE7 and RE8 and part of that was down to the 1st person perspective, so if playing Requiem feels more natural in 1st person, it's no skin off my nose.

CVX desperately requires a remake. I don't think people realise that it's a mainline game and not a spinoff, and that needs correcting, because it has a lot of salient story beats in the overarching narrative.

I'm glad they have added both options as I couldn't play RE7 due to getting motion sickness. This has only developed in the last few years, I've never had an issue with FP before! Frustrating. I'm more likely to just watch it over buying it though.

I'm still yet to play RE7 and 8. I've loved RE4 remake and looking forward to playing 5, but I wanna hustle my buns and play Requiem on launch ideally.

I know it's a long shot, but anyone up for some co-op in Resi 5 or 6? I want to attempt to Platinum both of them, but I don't want to play through the torture that is the AI partners, haha.

I've been a fan of the series since 1998 with RE2, though I'm pretty sure I tried the first game at some point because I remember the first zombie gave me nightmares for weeks.
